To protect your personal security, we are unable to accept returns on some non-faulty imaging & recording products. These include:
• MP3 & MP4 players
• Digital cameras
• Camcorders
• Hard drives
• Laptops/desktops/netbooks/tablet PCs
• USB devices
• Digital photo frames
• Sat nav systems

Is it legal for them to revoke your DSR rights for these items?

Does it just mean that their standard returns procedures don't apply to those items? They still have to accept returns under DSR.

Yea, so if their standard returns policy allows you 30 days to return something, that doesn't apply to those specific items?

here's the full returns section. Looks very sus to me...
Returns
If you change your mind and wish to return or exchange a product, please return within 7 calendar days of receiving them in their original packaging and in a saleable condition. Please ensure you follow the below instructions:

Securely repackage the product, ensuring the product is in pristine condition when we receive it (if the product cannot be resold, you might not receive a refund). If you have received a postage-paid label with your order, cut along the line and stick it securely to your packaging. If you have not received a postage-label with your order, please contact the Fireworks Direct customer team who will send one out to you. Please always include your packing slip with the returning item – without this they may be significant delays.
Some products can only be returned if they are faulty, so are excluded from the 30-day return policy. These include:
• perishable items
• items we cannot resell for health & hygiene reasons once unwrapped e.g. personal grooming products & earrings

apparently it's because you can record something on these devices then they cant' resell them incase the new user finds some of your stuff

data protection etc etc... they have to wipe it and it's not cost effective I think it's part of DSR law that anything that can contain usage of the previous user is exempt.

99% of companies need to do this I think although have no source to back me up that protection of data laws come into this.

Imagine you bought a usb uploaded some home movie pron then handed it back and they sold it to the next person.

7 calendar days to return them is wrong as well. It's 7 working days starting the day after you receive the goods to cancel the contract.

Surely you can write anything you want in t&c but if a law of the land over rules it then they mean nothing.
I could put that the end user has to give me a handy j with every return but dsr says they dont, so i would have to pull my own pork.
