Hi guys

We all like overclocking here, however does anyone like the idea of the CPU saving power when you decide to take dog for a walk or make dinner ?

While overclocking does the CPU clock speed have to be static , or can you achieve a fluctuating , stable CPU speed , proportional to load ? For example is it OK to have a stable overclock that also throttles while no CPU load

I wanted to see/hear your experience with using the following options and how does it affect an overclock? :

CPU EIST Function
Bi-Directional PROCHOT
C3/C6/C7 State Support
CPU Thermal Monitor

It can be whatever you prefer, fixed speed or power saving at idle

No affects on any oc here, since x58 boards through sandy to ivy with all powersaving enabled and using offset CPU v
