Fluctuating Vcore

Hi. On Intel CPU's, when you manually set the multiplier or vcore, the vcore doesn't fluctuate very much, but when you leave them on auto, the vcore fluctuates quite a lot, like between 0.5v to 1.3v. Now I know this is normal behaviour, my question is are you using more energy when setting manually?

you just change your cpu vcore to Auto, or to Normal if you wanna also set an offset(which is just below). If its all working fine and your not overclocking just leave it on auto, if your planning on overclocking then set it to normal and use the offset to adjust the voltage.

Thanks for that. What does offset to adjust voltage do?
