FluidMark 1.0.0 physics benchmark released

Just over 11,500 with a 280 GTX at default settings.

I want to try putting my 8800GTX in and offloading all physics onto that at some point

ati users need some files as quoted here buts it only runs on the cpu software mode

If you do not have a GeForce graphics card, you have to install the PhysX System Software 8.08.01 http://www.geeks3d.com/?p=805. You might also need the CUDA DLL (this DLL has to be copied in the benchmark folder if your Forceware drivers are < 177.79 or if you don't have a GeForce (Radeon, etc.)) http://www.geeks3d.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=13.

did the drivers ever get released to run nvidia physx on ati cards?

8800gt with q6600 running at 3.2ghz, (not sure why benchmark says its 3.6ghz)

I get around 9000 - but the screen goes black for the duration of the test  - I assume this isnt correct ?

Hmm the problem is this is written for nVidia's architecture.. so regardless of if it runs on AMD then the AMD will be running at a disadvantage.

No, Nvidia is just as low, its just they have PhysX support now, ATi cards would be just as fast if ATi decided to release compatability for hardware acceleration in the PhysX drivers.

do you have to download physx drivers separately were can u get fluid mark ?

Physics drivers are part of the latest Geforce drivers but can be downloaded separately and the Fluidmark download is in the first post of this thread.
