Hi all,

As per a recent thread I have the front end of my brothers Almera off at the moment (cross member replacement). Before filling with new coolant should I flush through the coolant system to clean out any deposits? If so what's the best procedure. Or, is this not recommended on a 10 year old car. Radiator looks in perfect condition.

Any other maintenance jobs I should consider before I put it all back together?

(I'm getting the AC system leak tested as the AC isn't working but I need to put the condenser and radiator back on for this).

Does this not push the "crud" back into the coolant system if it builds at the lowest point?

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to just fill it with tap water, run it for 10 minutes, drain and then fill with anti-freeze.
