Flyboys game

Anyone seen this? Played it this morning off a mag demo disk - was a great laugh.

It's a WWI flying game loads of dogfights with bi and tri planes etc.

Reminded me of both the old Wings game on Amiga and of the original Air Warrior game.

Can be played online so could be a bit of a laugh.

Isnt Flyboys also a movie thats come out recently?

yes. you will find that if you google... it is related to the movie.
Doesn't seem bad but the controller set up and general UI is a bit confusing. I'm also not that good... heh.

Did you manage to play online? I signed up but never got the confirmation email. So far just played offline, but do okay manage to down around 20 planes before I spin out or crash (think it's set on infinite ammo and damage for the demo though lol).

don't think I even signed up to play online, but when I clicked on the online button the username was already filled out with mcrouch (my name) and a password was entered. Let me on fine using those.

If you spin out the tut tells you to let go of the controls and press x to automatically fix it.

its hard online lol.

first was sorting out who was friend n foe, gold and purple teams,

then sortin out the throttle lol

When I first joined online I didn't realise you had to change airfield to get into the action, so I started right at the top left of the map and spent ages getting to the battle - but I did down a couple of bots on the way!

I found that as soon as I dived in on an enemy plane I had 1 or 2 right on my six blasting away at me. Also need to get used to what the planes can take - more than once I pulled a massive tight turn and tore the wings off!
