Flying American Airlines....

I don't find any transatlantic airlines any better than any others in economy, BA nd Virgin give you free booze but that's it and Virgin are not very good at that either

We do tend to use VA solely because they have premium economy and fly the routes we use, they have really gone down the pan recently though

Continental are the best of the American carriers. They don't compare to the premium Asian carriers but they're definitely a cut above the other yanks. I'd also put them above BA given that they actually have planes in the air.
 
I fly only Continental unless they codeshare with United, flying back from Chicago I had the misfortune of ending up on a UA flight, ok I got a free upgrade to PE but I'd rather have my exit row seat that I can book for free.

The AA flights out of the UK seem to be older planes and have crap entertainment systems, plus i don't like the seating arrangements.

It sucks on the old aircraft. If you get one of the refitted aircraft it's pretty much the same as any others. The free upgrades (free E+ on international legs, free First on domestic) are why I fly United. It's nice to have a bit of extra room. I personally don't worry about the rest of the service as I conk out!

I just wish they would hurry up and refit the rest of the fleet.
 
Next week should be reasonably back to normal. Long haul flights are usually fairly safe from cancellations in respect of recovery from abnormal ops.

Touch wood, fingers crossed and all that but don't worry too much about it!
 
Guys just wondering.
I am fine to use my blackberry in america yeh? what should i turn off etc so i don't get a big bill?
I just want to use blackberry messenger to contact family on new years eve/day.

The small pizzas were good to the states but they have stopped those now in favour of a roll with some weird hard bread.
