Used to be petrified of going to High School because I thought it would be like Grange Hill (OMG they put glass fibre down people's shirts :eek:

). As it turned out it was nowhere near that bad. I reckon the reason they getting rid of GH is because nowadays real life High Schools are much much worse than they'd be allowed to show on childrens TV.

Mate of mine at school many years ago looked like Gonch! Poor sod would get ribbed every day because of that lol. There was even a fat kid that looked like Rowland and ate everything in sight.

The sad thing is around 1979/80 we were living in cheltenham and my cousin's were into it so I remember the "Flying sausage" very well.

Nope, that was David Prowse. I've met him, spoken to him and enjoyed his company once. He's a great down to earth man unlike some celebrities out there. He's currently doing a hell of a lot of charity work.
