fm 2007

You can't really change it to a resolution but you can play it in a windowed mode, just go to settings and display and sound and you'll see the option there.

try changing the shortcut target to

"C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\fm.exe" --fullscreen_width=800 --fullscreen_height=600

I used this command to make the res higher so i dont know if it will work to make it lower than 1024 x 768. Worth a try!

Yep just use

"C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\fm.exe" --fullscreen_width=1680 --fullscreen_height=1050

The default skin is for 1024 x 768 though. Try downloading a skin from sortitoutsi.net and see if it looks ok at 1680 x 1050. Im using the hellenic 2007 skin at 1280 x 1024 and its perfect.

just checked, the default skin works fine at 1280 x 1024 so give it a try.

I think if you are running windows in 1024 x768 you can't use windowed mode because the game wants that as a minimum resolution...

i think I read somewhere that forcing the resolution below this is not recommended as there will be scroll bars all over the place....

-small_screen command in the shortcut target.

this allows you to play in 768 vertical res, but you lose tackling and technique in player attributes (in window mode). if you autohide toolbar you can view tackling by stretching the window but wont be able to see technique as it is cut off the screen.
