Hey all,

The 1156 ITX Motherboard in my micro server died today and I need to replace it. I was thinking of going with an A8-7600 or A10-7800 so am looking for an FM2+ ITX Motherboard that works with ESXI 5.5, supports IOMMU and has 6 or more Sata ports. It's hard to find any recent hardware information for ESXI 5.5 but from what I have been able to find it seems the ASRock FM2A78M-ITX+ may fit the bill but I am still not sure.

Can anyone confirm this board works with ESXI and/or if the there is another more suitable/better board? I am not adverse to going intel again but I want to keep costs as low as possible and I only have 3 VM's so dont need a great deal of power though it is nice to have a little extra in case I want to add another VM at some point.

I guess nobody has used one for esxi, I was afraid of that. I dont really want to waste money, I wonder if I would be better off just buying a Proliant G8?

I Think I have decided to go ahead with the FM2A78M-ITX+ but maybe with an x4 760k instead, I dont need video once the system is running and I have a gt520 I can put in to build it. If it doesn't work with esxi I will just have to try XenServer or something.
