FM2008- player not registered?

Just starting my first season with Valencia after 4 seasons at Arsenal...

Bought Ryan Babel during the pre-season but now I'm just about to play my first league game and he's showing as "unregistered for this competition" How do I register him?

In La Liga they are only allowed a squad of 25 registered players (a bit like the Champions League)
