Focus 1.0 Litre EcoBoost

I don't think I'll ever get over how annoying it is watching people bang on about £30 road tax...

...after spending £14,000 on a car :p

Still, I should be grateful really - any manufacturer attempting to dance to the eco tune WITHOUT using a diesel engine deserves praise in my books. The 1 litre Ecoboost sounds great.

It's a £20k car because I'm getting the Titanium X :)

£20k on a 1 litre ecocar with £30 road tax? NOT SURE IF SERIOUS.

If you are serious, then at least buy it through somebody like Broadspeed. Then its only a £17k car.

Actually, Broadspeed will do the 150bhp 1.6T Ecoboost Titanium X for only £200 more than the 1.0T. Why would you bother with the 1 litre when for 200 quid more you can get the much better engine? I'd definately do that instead.

I'm not bothered about the cheaper road tax, its not the deciding factor.
The car is for my partner who doesn't care about speed ;)

The Appearance Pack option on the Titanium X is a bit annoying.

On all other models this option gives you rear privacy glass and a wheel upgrade, but on the TX you get the glass and keyless entry. How does keyless entry change the appearance ?!?!. I want the 18" wheels !!!

I wouldn't want the 18" wheels at all. They're too big for the car, make the ride harsher, and cost more in tyre replacements.

Not sure why keyless entry comes under the appearance pack though. Maybe it deletes something on the door.

I'm trying to swing a company car (well, subsidised lease to be accurate) at the moment.

If they go for it then I'll be taking a very close look at these as IIRC I will still have to pay a BIC on the emissions.
