Focus mk1 ball joint and spark plug questions

Slightly inflated prices there.

If you don't have the tools, find a local garage that will let you supply the part. You'll need to get the front of the car off the ground and a way of grinding off the rivets from the original ball joint. It might be that Ford quoted to replace the entire arm.

As for plugs, I've always used Ford ones.

Personally I would just get a pair of Lemforder lower arms from ECP (£150 for the pair) along with a set of ARB bushes and you wouldn't have to worry about the front suspension for a long while.

In theory it's a simple job to replace the lower control arm, in practice the lower pinch bolt is an absolute pain to knock out. Provided you have the tools e.g T50 bit, breaker bar and huge arms.
