Focus Mk1 Factory Cassette Code

Is there a default code for each radio? I have just put the Cassette Back in and it demands a 4 Digit code. I entered what was written on the back of the Cassette player in 3 times and it now says "Wait 30:00" Countdowns from half an hour.... Have i done it correctly?

Ah Crap... Is there a Universal Code for the Cassette Players? or is it specific to each one?

EDIT: I also tried fitting an aftermarket head unit in earlier.... It didn't power up though :S... I have all of the leads and stuff.... Maybe the head unit is ******?

What's your serial number.

Just to add, the serial number you are looking for is one that starts with the letter M and is then followed by numbers

With the aftermarket HU you mentioned, make sure you have the Ignition Switched Feed, and the permanent live the right way around, consuslt the manual or post pics , (Usually swappable red and yellow wires)
