So long story short, I need a new clutch for my 2006 2.0 Focus (Petrol). Took it down to a local ford dealer today, and as expected was quoted a small fortune for clutch + master cylinder at £835.

I know this is far too expensive, so how much should it cost, and does anyone know of any reputable places to get it done in Bath?

EDIT: Just to add, does anyone know if my car has a DMF, and would it be likely to need replacing? The car has done 112000 miles.

And yes, i believe you have a dual mass flywheel.

DMF - £190
Clutch kit - £90.

I estimate £300 for labour so you could have both done for £600

Probably another case of Bath prices... Best I can find is £771 for the clutch and DMF, although that garage is wanting £202 for the clutch with slave without vat, which I think is a bit much. Still a lot better than main dealer though :)
