Hi all,

So my reversing light on my Ford Focus 2001 doesn't work. I'm not great with cars but thought I wanted to try sort this myself as it's just a light bulb right?

I bought this one as it's what the site suggested for my model

Is that the right one? I just did a little double check on how to fit etc before I attempted, but now seen some saying it's wrong and should be double filament??

EDIT: car manual just says 21w which this bulb is

Does the manual not specify a fitting type? It's easy enough to get the bulb out and just compare. If you bought them from Halfords then in the past I've had no issues returning them - had problems finding the correct indicator bulbs for my dad's ranger.

Thanks TheVoice, I guess I should just try fit it? Would it hurt anything if wrong?

The manual Dis86 is quite vague but it does look like the diagram. The only thing is, the manual shows it as on the right hand side when mine is on the left and not separate.

Yeah it's a bit of a bug. Apparently the release catch also needs to be pressed up, not down.

That's the bulb I used for the reversing light on my sons 2002 Fiesta so it's more than likely correct.

Not an MOT requirement but sometimes handy if you can't really see where you're going.
