Focus ST 2.5 owner opinons?

It's a shame that rather than going with the Volvo unit they didnt look at developing a forced induction version of their own 2.5 engine, as that would have given Mondeo owners something to set their sights on!

Maybe they looked at it and it wasn't possible, who knows.

The new Mondeo ST is rumoured to be getting a turbocharged Volvo engine with more power than the Focus. Given the current battle over power figures between manufacturers with the Vectra VXR at 280PS now, Ford will want to beat that and Volvo offer a 300PS version of the 2.5 Turbo.

I wouldn't count on that.

It's been a LONG time since Ford led the field for powerful cars. I suspect they will continue doing what they have done with the rest of their lineup and go for a well balenced package rather than a car with huge power that cannot turn (i.e. Vauxhall)
