focus test

just did a focus test for my Sigma 24-70 F2.8ex aspherical lens & the result is below,

looks like its front focusing by about 1cm. when viewed in zoombrowser the "show autofocus points" button shows focus to be spot on to the middle black line. any1 know what sort of cost to get this sorted. :mad:

Is this the test with the chart at 45 deg. from the camera?

It looks like the chart is skewed anyway, so maybe you need to spend more time in setting up the test before you conclude something is at fault.

I assume that at 1/10th you are using a good supported method. As Danza says. make sure that your set up is as spec'd by the lens test requirements.

If Sigma agree the lens is faulty, then it shouldnt cost you much at all.

ok, reshot & adjusted posts in respect of, now shows about 1cm ff, post shows screenshot from zoombrowser showing center focus point selected.
