Looked at a few cars yesterday, and I'm a little confused about trims levels.

LX, Zetec, Ghia - what are the differences??

I've seen various options on each, making it difficult to know the differences!

LX is basic trim, Zetec is supposed to be more sporty, and Ghia is the higher trim level.

Are you looking at the MK1 or MK2 new focus?

On the MK1, the 2.0 ghia had a better spec than other ghia's, so watch out!

I've looked at a few and can't really see that many differences inside between them all though?

It'll be the mark1, but a tdci.

I have a 1.8 Ghia, but with eibach 30mm lowering springs and Zetec 16" Alloys :)

However, if I could go back to when I bought the car, i'd have gone for the 2.0 Ghia due to its superior spec.

Early (pre 2001) focus's had a pretty poor spec actually to be honest, IE on a 1.8 ghia, one would expect rear discs, rear electric windows, ABS etc.

All standard on the 2.0 and TDCI but not on the lower engines.

Always kind of annoyed me that the Ghia never came in a three door varient. I would have liked the Ghia spec minus a couple of doors because I much prefer the looks of the three door.

Not at all, LX wans't the basic trim. In many ways it was better specified than Zetec - Zetec had alloys instead of the LX's standard air conditioning/quickclear windscreen.

Many thanks gentlemen!

I've gone for an 03 focus tdci ghia, picking it up friday! 46k miles.

the forecourt price was gonna be 9250, but I got a web only price of 7177. REally can't belive the mark up!! And this is a huge car superstore!
