Can't say I've had to deal with fog/mist before, although I'm assisting on one next week with a 4:30 ceremony which, at the end of Feb, is going to be interesting from a light perspective!

As long as it isn't a catholic service, you should scrape buy ok if your quick getting the pictures you need after the ceremony. Sunset's at 5.30 so your usable light will be around 5:45. From there you should be ok if you have fast glass (primes), as indoors you have artificial light. You could use flash if that's your thing.

I had when one December 22nd with a 2:45 ceremony. Timing was pretty tight but it turned out ok.

A very nice set as always, still a few I'll never understand like the shot of the dad through the window fidling with the car with an out of focus bride massive in the foreground. Too many shots through windows in general but I guess that is one of your things and I'm not sold on this years addition of a panning shot of the bridal car partly down to the poor execution allthough it is probably intentional.

A couple of things:

a. I don't like this one at all - I'm not sure whether it's because it looks 'forced' or that it looks more like a family hug as oppose to a newly married couple hug!

b. The bride is very happy and smiley!

c. A stunning venue like that and they get 70's Disco Stu in to do the evening entertainment? WTF?! Did he yell "Shabba" every now and again?

You've really captured the atmosphere of that wedding, I bet the couple are really pleased.

As weve come to find out planning for our wedding. Evening entertainment is ridiculously expensive and often the last thing people consider meaning the budget has been pretty rinsed.

Well I'm only assisting so the pressure's not on me as such

Have my 50 and 35 f/1.4s but want to use it as an opportunity to experiment a bit more with flash

The fog has really played to your advantage and you've used it to make this set really stand out from the usual wedding images.

Yes I was really liking the light and the atmosphere. The groom actually mentioned how soft the light was on the day. However he was really worried about it to begin with, he thought the pictures would come out dark. I had to show him a few on the LCD to put his mind at ease.

I see what you mean. When it's literally freezing outside, it effects peoples expressions and you don't have long to work due to the cold, and it was blooming cold.

Thanks Sam(s). These two are probably my favourites also in terms of composition. I liked playing around with the fog and the unusual look the fog gave. Unfortunately it will probably be a very long time before I get to photograph another foggy wedding.
