Folder permissions question

Hi,

I've just created a new folder here for the users called Clients. And under clients I have created 26 new folders like so:

N:\clients\a
N:\clients\b
N:\clients\c
N:\clients\d
N:\clients\e

etc....

1.) I want to do permissions so they can't add files/folders in N:\clients.

2.) Also I don't want them to be able to delete the a/b/c folders

3.) And lastly don't want them to be able to drag and drop the letters to another folder.

I have done the first 2 but only giving users read access to the root clients folder.
However for the last point, they cant drag the folder but what happens is the contents of the folder still gets copied across. Hope that is clear, any ideas how I can lock it down further ?

Thanks.

trouble is youll need read/write access within the letter folders to actually save work in them. unless you limit to read only then create another subfolder within the letter which has the work on. bit messy mind.

do users require access to all/more than 1 folder? if not then you could make a security group per folder and add users to whichever, then only give write access on the single folder to the group.

yeah that's the problem. All our users will need full rights ( create / delete / modify ) to the letter folders.

Hmm I see what you mean by creating another folder but it will get a bit messy....
