Preamble:
I'm running XP sp2 and I've already searched the forum and the net in general and tried all the recommended registry fixes. This problem wasn't there a couple of weeks ago.
Details:
I like my media folders to be sorted by "Date Modified". This lets me go straight to the last item downloaded. I've been running it this way for years. Now, when I go to, let's say, My Pictures, they are automatically sorted by name. As mentioned above, this has only been happening for the last couple of weeks.
Also, whenever I click on My Computer from the start menu, the window that comes up is roughly half the size of the screen. Clicking folders within that window keeps the same small window, which I have to manually resize everytime. (I know about dragging and using the "Close" button rather than the "X" and it still doesnt reset the window size).
What the hell is going on? It's driving me potty.
