folder sharing over wifi

morning,

i have just put a wireless card in my PC downstairs after months of nagging by the girlfriend to remove the cable. I need to connect the downstairs PC which runs xp to the upstairs one running vista to share files. Can i hell as like do it! i have the downstairs one connected to the wireless router no problem, so i have internet access, i just need to share files now. Can anyone recommend me a idiots guide to do this. I managed it using a cable but im stuck now

i must have done something then because the file sharing has stopped working now but it worked before.
 
thanks for the replies, i gave up with a headache at the weekend!
the folders are shared, as for classifying the network, ill look into it as i have no idea.
