Folder view mode

Is there a way of setting the view mode, i.e. thumbnails, tiles etc., for a folder and all its child folders via Windows?

Failing that, is there somewhere windows stores these folder preferences? If so I may be able to write a program to do it

don't quote me on this...

try right clicking -> properties -> customise

each setting will do a different thing, for example that setting puts the created folder into Details view... just experiment and see what each ones does.

not 100% sure if it works as well as i think it does, but its worth a shot.

I've tried that before, but none of them do what I want (Details view... using the Music template doesn't seem to work for me)

You could try this:

1.) Set the fodler up in the way which you want- i.e. details, tiles, thumbnails etc

2.) Tools > Folder Options > Views > Apply to all folders

Works fine for me

I did think of this, but I don't want to do it for all folders on my computer, just my music folders.
