My boss wants to buy me a folding bike with 20" wheels for commuting from the station to the office. It's pretty flat with the usual ups and downs. He's shortlisted two bikes, one with Shimano tourney and the other with Nexus hub 7. They are otherwise identical. I can't decide which one to go for as I have no experience with this. Can anyone help me decide please?

Nothing will come close to this Halfords deal, 10% off (making it £405) and you can get another 10% using a British Cycling membership.

Is it good or is it cheap or both?
It's had good reviews all year at RRP £450, hydraulic brakes on a folder at this price that actually weighs ~12.5Kg is unheard of, especially with a decent range 1*9 drivetrain.

I'm trying not to buy one just for the novelty of my first folder, that a wide range of family members could use, throwing it in the back of the car or taking easily on the train in a case (ideally a hard one for protection among the suitcases).
