Hey guys, having a weird problem on my second folding rig - I'll come back and check on its folding progress and the client won't open and the graphics have gone all weird, if I watch the graphics activity monitor it goes absolutely mental and spikes everywhere - does anyone know what this may be? CPU is pushing 50C at 100% load and graphics is on about 45C load

Is this a driver issue or something? hmmmm

It could be logmein crashing the graphics drivers, I know you cant use Remote Desktop or Terminal service to a windows box that is crunching using the gpu. Never used logmein, the only thing I have used that works is VNC because it doesn't use proprietary drivers.

Looks like the card might need a bit more volts or there is a problem with the memory.

CAn you run something like Furmark without it artifacting like that?

Not sure what's happening if it isn't Logmein but just wanted to say that I use Teamviewer for remote access and never have any problems.

Ah, artifacting? Is that the word for the way the image has gone all weird? :O

I could try upping the volts I guess - the ram has never been perfect (an xms3 stick and a random datalite? or something stick) - I have a feeling the board is fault anyway, it's gone weird recently - won't hold overclock settings very well.

I've removed the cpu slot on this rig, now just letting it fold flat out on gpu alone, I've also added the beta tag, seems stable so far! just a waste that the cpu isn't doing anything

Not really it was probably holding the gpu bavk. I dont fold on my 2600 @ 4.6Ghz either for that very reason. That and the leccy :)
