As this is the last news before Christmas:

I hope you all have a great Christmas and may Santa bring you all multi-cpu motherboards, opterons, xeons and 580s
In terms of normal news the stats are returning to normal after stanfords blip, the weekly dumpage makes sense, just the increase that is a bit off.
You may have noticed we are due to be stomped in 3 weeks by HPCS, not much we can do about that as they are pulling in 40mil a day!
Apparently they are some sort of cloud supercomputing firm, so I imagine this is just a temporary demonstration of power and we won't be stomped. But either way it's good for the science.
I've stopped big adv on one of my rigs now for the Christmas period so may loose the battle with loudbob to 3rd place
. I'll be looking to rearrange and upgrade next year though so don't count me out yet
Anyway have a Happy Christmas, I don't think I'll be able to do the news next Thursday so have a happy new year as well.
