------------------------------

Much better week this week :) PPD and amount crunched both up. Not to mention the team dumping 414,859 in the last 24hrs! (mostly due to bonus correction I imagine, but hey!)

If we can keep this up we may be able to hold off ATI Technologies for another week - I mean come on they're folding on ATI hardware for petes sake! :p

Not a great week from me but should be improving now for next week.

Only joined the OcUK F@H team a few months back but haven't been folding much, just restarted over the last few days. Good to see we're up from last week :).

Thanks for the welcome. I tried to find a thread to ask to join but couldn't find one, so I'm hoping I didn't step on any toes just by adding myself.

Still very new to folding, I've seen it on the PS3 but this is first time I've installed it on a PC.

I'm currently running the GPU3 nVidia client for my 5870 because for the life of me I couldn't get the Ati one working.

Thanks for the news :). Still not running on full power, had one machine off a fair bit and my PPD average keeps bobbing like a yoyo thanks to the bigadv units :o

Not at all, good to have you on board :)

As frozennova said your CPU will get you some good points as well, there is an SMP guide link in the news post which will help you get it set up. If your folding on your PS3 you can change the default team and user name it uses to your own. But I wouldn't do too much folding on it as it has been known to kill ps3s.

If you get stuck on anything just post in here or create a thread for help, someone will usually be around to give you a hand.

Nath are you and RJK using folding as a stablity test/benchmark for bundles and new chips you get in now.

Can I assume if you post mysterious screenshots showing an "unknown" processor folding SMP its Bulldozer or sandy bridge ;)

No, we don't have any "new" exciting CPUs. Rich folds on bundles occasionally amongst other testing, I'd don't do bundles so I just fold on what I've got.

Even if we had "new" CPUs we couldn't tell you :p

frozennova - behave, all will become clear once we get nda lifted on things and bragging rights will ensue :D

im on an epic bigadv at the moment- got frozennova in my sights :D

currently nath is trying to get ahead of me as he is folding 24/7 on his home rig whereas i only get to do a little every now and again.

but i prefer folding smp at work because it means i can stress test equipment as well as put points towards a good cause.

myself and Nath have got into folding in a big way. you have to remember that we are both massive hardware enthusiasts, so anything that measures hardware performance is a bonus to us.

this week i plan on getting a few more clients on the go on my test beds as well as putting the gpu clients on all these 460s that we are selling.

we currently use furmark to stress our graphics configurations but i think that gpu clients would net some nice ppd and properly test the configurations that are being shipped to customers.

in system builds we have a priority for quality control, the best stress test we have used until now is OCCT psu test.

although this works well, our high end systems need a lot more testing. so we will make folding a part of that on the systems that we can when time is available.

hopefully as ocuk staff and forum mods, myself and nath can set a good example and involve a few more forum members in folding :)

That's what we like to hear - nice one guys - every wu helps so a free hours stress testing is all good.

Just finished some more perspex panels on my own wee beastie.
Not sure even i can cool a 460 passively but you can rest assured i'll give it a good try :D

You guys are really getting close, especially with me having a bad patch with work. p6701/2s are taking me around 2 days with my nightly off.
