Hey all, welcome to the new members, we have a few this week :)

Congrats on the tiffys all, here's my bad boy :D

It's been a good week for me folding wise, both rigs are picking up big betas and I've upped the memory speed in one so getting slightly more ppd.

Sweet tiff'e s'ah and glad to see that beast is crunching good now :D

Good'ish week for me, got a few days with 6901's on the Magny-Cours but mainly 6903's all round. Hit into the top 60's worldwide, and looks like if I maintain pace I should be in the top 25 eventually, maybe spitting distance of a top 20 slot.

And BaBa aint far behind and inching closer all the time! :eek:

Apologies, but my work effort has been a bit lax over the past week (or so)....... :(

Hopefully, things should be sorted :) :D :)

The i7 860 will soon be leaving tho' - Christmas Pressie for my brother (which ties in nicely with the Xmas Comp - must remember to do Photo's before it leaves).

Ive had an odd week started ok Andromeda was getting 200k on 6903's and 120K+ on 6901's then i started to play:rolleyes:

I installed the kraken and turned on numa in the bios(node interleaving disabled) both of which should have given a good boost to ppd but frame times have gone up, lots:mad:

Now a 6901 gets 70k and the 6904 she is doing is only 170k:(
 
All things being good I should be able to maintain 200k ppd (even when the 860 leaves) - that is until they remove the bigadv's from anything less than 16 cores :(

About to let Hades loose on the bigadv's now that I know it's perfetly stable at 4.8GHz (2133MHz Ram).

Wrong thread (I know) - but is there any news on the SR-3 release date?

What RAM are you using and at what volts loudbob?
I finally I picked up a super-bigadv on the 2700k but had to drop the RAM speed from 2133 to 1866mhz as it crashed at 26%, I thought it might so I was periodically backing up the fah folder, thankfully I didn't lose the WU, just a few Hrs folding time.
After I dropped the RAM it ran from 21% till the end (6903) I lost around 20secs TPF dropping the speed.

Using 8GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-17000 2133MHz RipjawsX Series for Intel Z68/P67 (11-11-11-30) Dual Channel kit @ 1.5v in both 2600k rigs - both rigs @ 4.8GHz.

Th 990x is using 6GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-16000 2000MHz Trident Series (9-9-9-24) @ 1.6v @ 4.6GHz.

Thanks, I saw that Gskill ram, but it's a bit pricey for me, considering eventually it will be just used as a media pc, if the price drops I probably have some. I may even try to loosen the timings even more to that spec and see what happens, though I doubt I could run it at 1.5v

Think ive sorted Andromeda it was all my fault:rolleyes:

Helps if you are not trying to run 32 cpdn models alongside folding:D

It was a struggle............

Everything seems to be running smoothley - although only u til we loose the bigadv's from anything less than 16 cores.......

The 860 has now left to go to its new home so I'm left with just the two 2600k's and the 990x currently averaging about 246k ppd on 6903's.

Looks ike I'm just shy of catching Dekez before he moves into third spot - unless I can manage another build within the next eight weeks...........doubtful me thinks.

In the middle of trying to purchase this house so moneys a bit tight.

Oh well.......
