Yay foldy news, and so much of it that Dekez tried to post it twice

Now if only I could stop getting some of these pant's WUs that lower my PPD into the mid 40k or even below. Once upon a time my regularly predicted PC over 60k with ease .....

Had a few problems today, upped the clocks on the amd rig to squeeze a few more ppd out of her (trying to stay ahead) only to trash WU's and get sleeping for 24 hours

Will be third by tomorrow

nah one of mine didnt like the heat today and shut down around 1pm. im only just geting home now.. so i think youll be ok

Built and powered up

Checked Bios - only CPU 1 & 2 recognised

Removed CPU 3 & 4

Swapped CPU 1 with one of the ones I just removed

Booted into Bios CPU 1 & 2 recognised

Bedtime now - will fault find tomorrow after work

Think I have seen similar problems with an E5 rig over at [H] , it was related to memory.

Now I gotta decide whether it is the memory - if so find a suitable replacement.

Loving the teamwork guys That's what I love about the team, close rivals helping each other out for the good of the team and the project

Managed to hold on to 4th place for production this week - just. I see penfold has increased his output the last couple of days so it looks like I'll be pushed back to 5th until I get the new hardware running (even then I might be struggling to keep up).

Another big increase for the team this week, thanks largely to the quad socket guys - nice work team.

I checked the Kingston site and it said the memory I have should work with the board I have - but then again I do have the ES chips which seem to be very particular when it comes to memory.

Gonna have a little investigation on it today (later) to see if I've missed something.

Other than that I'll try with BaBa's memory and if all else fails maybe the CPU's you've suggested.

Well....... Good News & Bad News

Good News
Tested each CPU & Memory separate and all are functional.

Bad News
They just won't play nicely together..........until the nice man (BaBa) lends me the memory he has verified that works I can't rule out a motherboard issue.

So, it'll sit in the corner 'not on' for now
