Got a nice email today saying that the GTX560Ti 2WIN's will be replaced (including free collection) by EVGA and another from the place where I purchased saying that a full refund will be given (including free collection).....

Choices.... Choices....

Should I get the refund and get a couple of 570's or chance getting replacements and risk them going pop again?

Answers on a postcard please

Or.....

I could use the refund and get upgrades for the Celeron & Sempron - ugrade to Piledriver & Ivybridge........

Well mine does...

Having run both 560Ti and 570 I would say the 570's extra performance isn't worth the extra running cost. A 560Ti 448 might be worth a try if you can still get them. I'd certainly move from EVGA to Gigabyte or MSI which is what I have/had and they were both faultless.

Looks like I will be upgrading the CPU's rather than replacing the GPU's......refund permitting.

I think a 3770K & FX8350 should make up the difference.

Only if the gpus scale to the same sorts of WU's the bigadv cpu's are crunching. The points returned currently on the test WU for GPU QRB is just an old GPU type WU. And the plan is that the GPU's start crunching the same WU's as the CPU's

well folks just got back into folding again after a long period off hopefully my new upgrade to a 3770k will help big style compared to my old PII 955

Might I just re-iterate......

4 x 680's

2 x 480's
2 x 460's

Might even hold off on the CPU upgrades.....

I've managed to pick up an 8057 on one of my 460's....

Frame time of 2:41 equating to a PPD of about 86k

I should imagine when it all comes out of beta the PPD will be overhauled and nerfed somewhat...

Cause if it stays as is - I'd be looking at over 2M PPD with my current set-up... (at least).

I know, but its only crunching a stock GPU WU with the points bumped and the QRB added, might be different if its crunching a SMP WU

Regardless its easy to forget I have 4 GTX470's currently in weebeastie that are on Seti at present but can easily be switched over, and their replacements currently sitting in boxes waiting for me to get my finger out and set them up.

Think I'll pick me up a 660Ti as well for kicks and giggles.

Biffa - quick question

How do you add additional flags to the slots in the FAH V7 Client?

Everytime I try to add an additional flag using 'client-type' it deletes the previous flag

Also, should I just leave the SMP & GPU Clients on the advanced flag?

i.e.

Client-type
advanced

Your help is appreciated (sorry for being such a dunce)
