thanks for the news! my lightning is up and down. some days its ok other days it refuses to fold. i have 2 970's on the way so i might see what they can do once i've benched them and played some games in glorious 4k

970 depends entirely on what core you are running.

Core 17 - 240K PPD
Core 18 - 70K PPD
Core 15 - 68K PPD

Upgraded to Windows 8.1 with much faff this week, got it running, then got into an apparently irrepairable boot loop while unable to enter safe mode due to Windows 8+s annoying 'fast boot' policy of no longer allowing you to use F8 to enter advanced boot options. The irony of only needing safe mode when you can't boot and only being able to enter safe mode when able to boot fully was not lost on me.

However shortly after formatting my drive and failing to fresh install Windows 8.1 with the same error I figured out my network card is apparently incompatible..

Currently about 2/3rds the way through the arduous process of reinstalling, updating etc everything. Contrary to popular belief, downloading and installing the second of so far two 1.8GB updates is actually not that fun when forced to use one's phone to download it :/

core 17 looks best then if i could get both cards on them with a decent oc i could get 500k ppd. i will probably not use them for folding much for a while though. i haven't played many games as i got bored of 1080p max out with 40ish fps ,but i plan on getting through tomb raider again, hitman absolution and maybe farcry 4 and the crew which i might get free with my 970's.

Production a bit down last week due to diverting CPU power to the Community Grid challenge. Everything shifted back to Folding for now (until the next challenge), so output should be up this week. I'm even Folding on the media server as I'm away at work and not using it.

Been getting a lot of core 18s recently but they don't get any less on my 690s and 670s - must be just the newer cards that take a performance hit with them.

My folding client keeps getting stuck at 99.99% and will only begin a new WU (or in some cases continue the existing one because that turned out to be an incorrect percentage) after ending all folding processes and then reopening the client.

It is very annoying and means my production has been down, since I cannot be at my PC every time it does it.

Any ideas? Might a reinstall of the client be needed? Or can I just tweak something?

I recently went from a GTX670 to an HD7970.

Yes there is a bug in the Nvidia OpenCL drivers

I'd uninstall, blow away any trace of it and then reinstall.

I spoke too soon. My big machine has stopped for some reason. Not Folding and TeamViewer says it is offline so there's nothing I can do. I'm on the rig for another couple of weeks so I'll be at reduced capacity until I get back
