News! Enjoy :)

yeah both are folding tho my 680 running too hot sitting around 78 to 82 degrees so need to turn that down really. yes im folding 24/7 for now but its not gunna be foreer im due back to sea mid august so wont be folding while im away, its cooled down here abit now as well.

Looking to get another 770 maybe or 9 series, perhaps two more to fill out the mobo I have. Depends on the PCi lanes. I am sure only two slots run @ x16.

The 770 runs quite well still and would be cheap to add another for a few extra points. Running a single box only.

Well now that makes it an easy choice for two or three. ;)
I realize the PCI slot is for bandwith only and not sure I mentioned ram. But did you mean GPU or system ram?

i found the amd 7970 and 280x are better at folding than the 680/770 and they are cheaper. a 970 is a better buy at the moment though.

gpu ram

a 780 or 780ti do very well. and can be had for £90 - 120 in the members market, but saying that 970s can be had for an extra £30

970's have better crunching return and are lower power consumption I believe too so the cost price per watt is better. Is this correct?

ah ye needs a 1000 posts. missed that.

grab a 970 then. I havnt folded for about 6 months and am currently looking at getting something going again as it isn't to hot at the moment
