Hey all, here's the news, it's a couple hours out this week as I forgot to restart the web server when I restarted my machine, but it shouldn't make that much difference. Enjoy!
 
Thanks for the news, Dekez.
Big drop for me for two reasons:
1. Concentrated on Seti.
2. New mobo is faulty [I hope] as I can't get my IB to run in Turbo mode. Mobo has to be RMA'ed on monday.
If I can get my old one running ok should be back folding next week & then wait for replacment. Three weekends of taking it out & putting it back into my case. [is this a record?]
 
dekez, great stats again as usual :)

Sorry about my output, the SR-2 is part sold and the replacement isn't up, just got the 4th block for it.

And the aircon needs emptying twice a day where weebeastie and darkstar are. I need to clear out the room it seems to be sucking moisture from every piece of paper in there.
 
Hey guys, I'm also using the new FAHControl thing (thanks for the recommendation). I've got a 3770k but my SMP only ever gives me around 3.5-4k PPD. I also have a 6950 folding, giving a juicy ~7.5k, and its using one of the eight cores. I've configured the client-type to be bigadv and max-packet-size to be big, but still the low PPD. Any advice guys?
p.s. just broke my first million I'm so happy :D
 
Not having much luck overclocking new rig, so am setting another up and should be folding tonight am looking forward to it.
Am going to use the fah client, but is there a knack in setting it up so it only does bigadv?
Will give it a shot and probably be back for your esteemed advice later peeps:)

What I do is assign one entire HT thread to that application, and assign all the other cores (real and HT) to the SMP application.
 
ok.. :)

First off make sure you are in Expert mode on the client.

1. Have you setup a passkey
2. You need to enter the passkey in the Configure screen on the Identity tab.
3. You need to setup the SMP Slot (Configure -> Slots -> SMP -> Edit)
4. Scroll down to "Extra slot options" and if they are not already there click "Add" then enter Name: client-type, value: bigadv - Click "OK"
5. Click "Add" again and this time enter Name: max-packet-size, value: big
6. Lastly on the same slot screen, make sure that slot setup using all 24 CPU's

Then shut down the client, and restart, once its finished the WU its on it should start to kick in and use all threads on a WU with more points.

If you have done your 10 regular SMP WU's you will get bonus points, if not you will have to wait to do the 10.
