Hello to the team :)

Been folding for another for some time but after a break, decided to start folding again and for a UK team.
Currently chasing up a C17 WU not credited to us but hopefully that will be resolved.

I'm running a Q8200 + one gtx460 (currently not folding because of transition to 64bit OS with an SSD)
I'll fill in some details on a sig soon.

It's nice to see the credit for the missing C17 unit today too.
 
Well after an absence of several years, I finally got around to putting F@H on my linux workstation at work and had it going over the weekend. Jeez, I have to say I yearn for the days when everything wasn't so GPU dominated! Since when should I be getting ~10k/day with 64 cores?!? The thing is so damned loud running full pelt next to be that for that much output there's no point me having it on.

So, it was hello again, and goodbye just as fast :/

With 64 cores, for only a few months more until they completely withdraw it, you need to be using the BigAdv stuff, especially under linux. No idea how you set it up from scratch, but the HardOCP team had developed routines. I think Biffa was our man on this. But once they drop Bigadv it will probably be the end of my time on folding.

Remember too that you do need the passcode thingy setup to get your bonus quick return points and that only kicks in once you have done 10 WUs.
 
If you head over to the HardOCP forums they have lots of info on linux bigadv setup.

I have 64 cores running on ubuntu bigadv for about 900kppd from one rig.

You do need to fold 10 work units (of any kind not just bigadv) before you start getting the bonus plus you need a passkey.
