weekly news and im back on there yay, now .... do I buy the gtx980 local cheap or a 780 cheap hm.... or just buy both

current card with a 99mhz oc is giving me 240k ppd

My gfx cards aren't being detected anymore ??? My client is running cpu only, I updated gfx drivers this morning and enabled Sli.

Mine too - GPU was not folding. Uninstalled the client and went to the Stanford site to download a new client and the download link on the site's not taking me to an executable. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

you need to check your GPUs.txt file has a list of gpus in it.

I've installed and reinstalled including remove data, still doesn't detect gpus. Can't add manually via slot I get an error.

colin is it doing it with both 780ti and your 980ti? , other people with NVidia are still rolling out the work units.

Thanks for the reply, Andy. Problem I have after uninstalling is I can't source the folding@home program from the Stanford site. Is it just me, or are all the links to the download (irrespective of OS) on the Stanford site, all dead links that just take you to the top of the page?

Need win 8.1 executable - have GPU sitting doing nothing...

Thanks ozaudio. Tried 6.41, but after a frustrating search was able to find the 7.4.4 client on a different site and was able to get it set up and the gpu is back folding. Still think there's something up with the stanford servers, but we'll see in the next few days.

i had same problem after doing a clean win10 install, my GPUs.txt file was empty, got the proper list and all was well again.

Ok can you expand on this gpu.txt file and how i get the proper list? Is the current download version 7.4.4?

I haven't upgraded to Win10 I'm still on 7

Ok guys I tried clean install of Folding once I had disabled Sli in Nvidia control panel, its now detected the cards again and is working.

Ozaudio,

Your 970's not picking up work? That's the problem I had with mine. Looks like Standford may be back up as I could not access the gpu.txt file that is mentioned in this forum post over the weekend.

Perhaps you need to stop and restart your client and hopefully it will pick up the gpu.txt file. Otherwise, try the steps in the above post. I added a reference to my 970 into my gpu.txt file, then re-set up the gpu slot and it started folding.

nope I am running an r9 290 tri x, the 970 is broke as in wont even show a display. the guy sold me a knackered card and he knows it. ill be paying him a visit real soon.
