I'm in the process of borgins, but not sure yet if the PCs are working fine at getting past the firewalls and proxys or not. I also want to be able to check up on things in the future, at an easy glance.

I can setup FAHMon to see what stage of completion of WUs the different networked PCS are at. FAHMon will also let me see the logs of individual crunchers. So far so good. But that just tells me what is happenning locally.

What I want to be able to see is which crunchers are actually getting credit from Stanford, and how many WUs they are returning. Boinc allows you to see online when PCs last returned WUs and you can check the results for each PC. Is there any way of doing this on folding?

But the idea of MGP borg 1, MGP borg 2 etc would mean me having loads of small stats rather than a chance of catching you lot in the top cells, so thats no good. I plan a bit of a stompfest .....

All getting very technical here, but those links have some interesting suggestions. I'll just have to keep checking the logs in FahMon to see what they say about submissions.

It may be the way my office's network is setup, but borging just isn't straightforward. The hassle I had to get boinc to bypass the ISA proxy still makes me shudder. I think F@H is going to be easier, but still not that easy, just editing each PC service to start using the admin account so it keeps going depsite log offs is time consuming.

System is just a local admin user. It doesn't have rights over the network, whcih operates under Windows Small Business Server 2003 . That means it won't get an internet connection via the office server.

Arghh, the office server's lost it's interweb connection, a frequent occurence, so the WU's that would have dumped will be stuck until tommorow when someone reboots it :( In the meantime I still can't tell if I've got the basics setup right or not.
