I'm back!
Wedding and honeymoon were great, rather depressing though to be back at work today! It will be a bit of a funny news this week and next, as the server was down (all sorted now) the download of the files didn't happen, so the week column is actually the difference between the last news and now, so the increase and PPD are also off as well but will sort themselves out.
I've dropped out of the single machine league for this week and have turned everything to folding to make up for some of the downtime whilst I was away. Now I'm back I'll be looking to upgrade as well
I've move to a new web host for my personal site now which enables me to have MySQL databases and multiple sites, so I'm in the process of transferring the news site to there so it should be a lot more reliable once that's done.
I'm having a few problems though at the moment with importing the data file into MySQL, the LOAD DATA INTO statement I was using I can't use due to permission restrictions with the host, so have been working with a php script which reads every line and inserts into the tables. The problem with this though is that with well over a million lines of users it is timing out, so need to think of something new, maybe taking the team 10 users out of the file before importing into the database. Bit of a puzzle at the moment but it's keeping me occupied and my php is improving!
