Hi there :D

Just set up the clients on my pc and ps3. Both on team 10, so I hope I have set it up right.

So.. you should see psypher and psypherPS3 crunching away :D

What should I be avg'ing on a quad pc and a ps3? Cheers
Thats all!

For a quad you'd be better using the SMP client as it's designed for multi-core CPU's and gives loads more points. You can get it from here. It's the

Windows: V5 Beta SMP clients

Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 SMP
client console version 5.91 beta6

that you need. Install it to a folder outside of your Program Files folder, such as a folder inside your My Documents folder. Then read the Read Me file that's unpacked in the installed folder. It'll tell you how to get it up and running.

Are you running Vista or XP?

There isn't a V6.1 of the SMP client and 5.92 is supposed to be slower than 5.91 so I'm sure you'll make the right decision.....

I've never found any need to install the client outside C:\Program Files unless it's a second copy.

you can have both as one name? Oh D:

lol, wont I lose the points from my ps3 if i put that as "psypher" ?

Anyway, that multicore vista one doesnt seem to be working for me. Wont let me enter my username password, well I dont have one.. but it wont accept nothing. Not key input works either (which it does for entering a domain/user name.

edit, kinda working. hold your breath

You can run as many clients as you want using the same name. Just be sure to allocate them a different Machine ID. Tho I'm not sure how that works with the PS3 client.

I thought the machine ID number was just for on the same machine? I am running 3 pcs and 1 ps3 all on the same ID. The only number that is different is the gaming pc as it runs 2 clients so has #1 and #2.

Only points you will lose Psypher is the points currently dumped to the servers. They wont be 'lost' but they will not appear on he new name.

Yep, that's right. They can all be machine ID #1 if all different machines.

You need to have a password to get the SMP client to work. What you can do is set a password, then stop Vista from actually asking for it. After setting the password go to Start > Run and enter control userpasswords2. Deselect 'users must enter a username and password to use this computer'. Then go back to the Folding directory and run the install.bat again, entering the password you set. I don't think the password field acknowledges your key presses - just type it in anyway.
