Hi all

Bit random but does anyone know if the magnets in these can be replaced somehow?

It no longer stays open on its own so we have to use things to hold it.

The company wants £70 for new fittings!

I could try remagnetising the magnets? Or can they somehow be taken apart to replace the magnets?

Cheers.

I might be missing something but that to me just looks like a plastic clip that goes into the holder.
Is there a build up of anything in the holder?
Has the clip distorted slightly it's only plastic could try heating it with a hair dryer and pack the middle out a little whilst it cools to see if it holds better?

Not sure what's what, but yes you could try running a bigger magnet over them

I took this riveting video that might show it better.

Couldn't you just stick some magnets onto the glass instead?

Potentially but it would make the connection an odd angle I'd have thought.

Op, have you tried looking at it i.e. trying to taking out that small square and look more?

It looks like the angle of the wall that the screen is bolted to isn't true. Hence the screen opening/closing back on itself.

If a washer was placed under the upper part of the fixing rail, then the screen would fall away from the wall and not towards it.
