Poor Mikey had been struggling with his PC for nearly a year, first the RAM blew up, then the Motherboard went and took the Graphics card with it.

Mikey tried for months, and after countless battles with Pci-e slots and HFS clips he nearly had a PC to start folding, nearly.

Alas, disaster struck one foul day: the PSU blew. It took the Graphics, the Motherboard and the RAM with it. Mike would never get this PC up and running, playing WoW and BF2 and folding overnight were far-off visions to only be longed for.

Though like his hardy AMD 64 3000+ which survived throughout, Mikey persisted, he (after continous mishaps) was awarded with a 7900GT as a replacement for his 6800GT when it was lost during an RMA. He even managed to purchase another motherboard and PSU with his puny student funds, the RAM even RMA's sucessfully.

This all sounds as if the story turns for the better, but alas, no. The fan on Mike's HSF stoped and nearly fried thew whole PC. Mike decided to take a step forward, and invested in watercooling for his CPU and GPU, after many scary moments with leaks and dribbles, this finally suceeded and Mikey booted his machine for the first time in 4 months.

However (there's another twist) the HDD has given up the ghost and packed in, so Mike accuired another cheap from a friend, and was in desperate need of an OS.

Again, much to their credit, Mike's friends steped in and through a contact managed to get hold of a copy of Windows server 2003, which Mike now runs.

Now this PC is running at 2.7Ghz, with the RAM at 235Mhz 2.5,3,2,6 1T and the 7900GT at 700/1200 (voltmodded) and is 1 week prime stable on all three tests, BF2, WoW and FAH all installed.

The folding began shortly after, with the usual fuss around with networking and power settings. Finally, around 2 Weeks ago Mikebert4 submitted his first WU for team 10 and rejoiced for it was a 226 point WU.

Today I submitted a smaller 178point WU, which has pused me over 1000 points for the team, and prompted this effectively usless thread!

I'm currently working on a few more machines (both lacking PSU's and one needs a 10/100 network card) to fold under Mikebert4.
