Hi,

I'm trying to get hold of a font called Foundry Gridnik to be used in MSOffice / open office

Is it available legally for free or will I have to buy?

If I need to pay where and how much?

Cheers

yes google answers the fact that the Foundry makes the font but I have no idea if it's available elsewhere or if it is built into any freeware software. The foundry's site isn't the greatest of informers.

Take away the foundry's website and you're left with a bunch of dodgy looking sites on a google search.

Help would be appreciated but not expected.

This might help

Foundry Gridnik, described as 'the thinking man's Courier', derives from
a typeface that was originally designed by Dutch designer Wim Crouwel in the late 60s, as a single weight typewriter face, but it was never released as a font. A modified version of it can still be seen today in Crouwel's 1976 designs for the low-value postage stamps of the ppt, Dutch post office, which feature the stamp value only, displaying the numerals to full effect.

So does it even exist as a computer font to buy????

Good luck emailing them, I found this:

So here is my problem. I've attempted emailing Foundry about their Gridnik font and recieved no response.

Alternative and closely related fonts which you can buy are listed here:
