Foo fighters at Vue cinemas?

its probably a live broadcast of one of their gigs, quite a crap idea tbh.
They do it with some sport too, which is quite crap too - the pub > the cinema

the muse gig from wembley was on at the filmworks in manchester, i'd guess this was the same with one from yesterday or friday

That's what I thought live music at a cinema that's a rubbish idea.

Sports isn't such a bad idea they did it with f1. It's not shown in pubs generally and you would still get a good atmosphere in a cinema.

I saw Muse Haarp tour at a Vue cinema and i absolutely loved it!

I think you would enjoy it more if you were there on the day!

ps. Haarp was absolutely mega!

Looks like it will be highlights from the Saturday show at Wembley (which I was at :D) - 100 mins long I think. Shame is they aren't showing it at a Vue near me! Tickets are on Ticketmaster now, couldn't see any mention on the Vue site itself.

Why would you want to? live music sounds rubbish if your not there. I would rather listen to one of there cd's than watch it at a cinema. You wont have any atmosphere and the music will sound pants.

I was there. I would be interested to see it at the cinema to see the bits I missed - i.e. the close up stuff as I was a way from the stage.

It should be coming out on DVD which I will get, but the Vue ones will be in HD.

I disagree. How the west was won is an awesome live album. Infact quite often i find my self listening to live albums or versions of songs as it strips it down to just the musicians with out being touched up in the studio.

Then not forgetting live DVDs of bands. I find it interesting watching the interaction between the band members and how they play their instruments.

To say live music sounds rubbish when your not there is a bit of a sweeping statement. I for one can and do enjoy it. Having said that, I havent seen any of the live VUE broadcasts.

A talented live band with a crowd wet for it will always sound good when replayed, be in on cd or in a cinema, atmosphere isnt lost if its a real good one.

Yup... Muse being a good example, most of the Hullabaloo versions outclass the album versions (Citizen Erased knocks the album version out of the ring) and the quality of the filming and production keep it interesting to view too.
