Food calorie tracking free app thing that can scan barcodes

Myfitnesspal seems to always be the go to.

I think I used it religiously for about 9 months straight, but got fed up with making meals out of several ingredients and it became an absolute chore to get everything scanned in.

Use Cronometer here as it showed more nutrients than MyFitnessPal back when I tried both. Latter does have a larger database for simply scanning things quickly though.

Mfp is my choice. Huge database, instant additions as well as a section for your own saved meals, recipes or products. You can share with friends or family, so if you eat together you can copy meals over too.

There's also pretty decent linking to other fitness apps if you want to add fitness trackers, weight trackers or anything like that.

The progress section is fantastic for recording weight and pictures to keep track and compare.

The premium version includes more detail into stuff like macros and nutrients. If you are interested in that sort of detail, it is fantastic and a small price to pay if you decide to invest that sort of attention to it in the future.
