We were chatting over a beer last night about what is your favourite food and where did you get it?

Mine was in magaluf at a restaurant called katmandu and the buffalo wings there are the nicest food I have tasted.... EVER!

So OCUK, what is the nicest food you have ever had?

Its hard to beat my wifes three cheese pasta bake with aubergine & chilli, though eating it more than once a month would be bad

Las Vegas - Planet hollywood hotel - Deep fried steak

Steak cooked to medium rare, then battered and dunked in the fryer for a few minutes served with a blue cheese sauce. it was out of this world. Strange concept but amazing.

Okonomiyaki at Okonomi-mura in Hiroshima.

Place we ate was a little Mom & Pop place seating about a dozen, at a push, opposite the lifts two floors up. Fun people and the food was simple, great and was made freshly in front of you.

The last okonomiyaki I had was at Abeno in London and it just didn't compare in size, quality and tastiness.

Saltimbocca alla Romana. The nicest I've had was in a little restaurant in Rome, couldn't tell you the name (I could find it again though!). It was on a little side street out of the centre.

Not necessarily the fanciest but they all stick out for tasting superb.

Split, Croatia - Mixed fish platter @ Buffet Fife
Rome, Italy - Rocket, bresaola and parmesan salad @ Ivo a Trastavere
Loch Lomond, Scotland - Steak, peppercorn sauce and chips @ Martin Wishart
Milan, Italy - Salmon and tagliatelle @ Can't for the life of me remember
Glasgow, Scotland - Black pudding and egg pizza @ Biere Halle
Deauville, France - Veal escalope, cream and mushrooms @ Chez Miocque
Nr. Porto Cristo, Majorca - Seabass @ Cap Vermell
