Not many of my friends could even endure a whole game of football on TV let alone enjoy it, would i be considered sad going down the local on my own to watch games? The local pub is the kind where all the old chaps stare at you as in you walk in because youre not a regular, but they have a **** off huge flatscreen in there. I live in a flat so am not allowed to get a dish on the side of the wall and to get sky :(

Nope, I would go if there was no other way to watch it, and I do so sometimes if I'm staying away on my own with work too.

As Gilly said, if it's the only way to watch it then fair play. You will probably get into a bit of banter with the old boys in the boozer too during the game and make some drinking buddies while you are at it :)

Never really been an issue with me as I can always watch footy at home but I'd usually always find someone to accompnay me to the pub, wouldn't like going alone.
