As in the topic subject...

My budget is probably £60 but preferably cheaper. I don't know anything about football boots. I'd like something with some arch support if possible. Cheers!

Thanks, I guess it's true that I can only really know if I try some pairs in the shop. Ideally I want something with cushioning, yes, and perhaps ones I can do some running in as well.

Thanks for the advice, lads.

I like the look of these because they're more like trainers with support etc:

As well as the Nikes. The mundials are out of my price range I reckon :(

Played again in my old nikes that are a size too small. I was a bit rubbish (too much running around, not playing tactically) - any advice on playing 5-a-side? I'm too used to playing on big pitches. I'm small and probably faster than anyone else on the pitch, but my control is pretty poor!

Well it's on again for next week and I've bought new boots, so we'll see how it goes. I think I tend to follow the ball too much rather than marking the space.

Those are very similar to the ones I have now. They give me an extremely clunky touch and the ball just doesn't feel comfortable at all.

Haha! My touch isn't bad when I'm wearing my merrell trainers (but they make my shooting absolutely shocking).

My confidence is rubbish in these 5-a-side games because I'm playing with workmates that I don't know very well, so I'm afraid to take the game by the scruff of the neck and try and run at players etc. MY main asset is raw speed, although I'm a decent dribbler.

Damn, next Tuesday can't come soon enough. I have to redeem myself.

Those look nice.

I played a game with my tiempos on tuesday. They pinched a little, but they wore in after about half an hour and now they fit perfectly. First touches are easier and I can definitely get more power into my strikes. They're sort of old fashioned looking compared to predators, mercurials etc, but they're a great no-nonsense boot.

I think I've owned 2 or 3 pairs of Nike ones over the years, and I've had to replace pretty much every pair after a few months due to either poor build quality or discomfort.

Those ones you've bought seem to have proper stitching around the toe area which is good - a lot of these new plasticy ones lack that.

They're leather as well and there's protection around the toe area, which is great for when I want to put my foot in.

I took them outside to a game at the park last night and they did well on grass. I've noticed that they have less "spring" to them than the Adidas when accelerating, but the other qualities make them a solid all round.
