Started playing football for a team for the 1st time in 10 years. Bought some new boots and ouch! Played a few games and the damn things have ripped my feet to pieces with blisters, particularly on the achelies area.

I ordered a standard pair of puma boots online
http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prod...YPE=&BRAND=&ST=1&SIZE=&MIN=30&MAX=50&SRH=puma

but i think they are 1/2 too small. I'm always a size 9 but i guess not this time! Tried to put up with them but towards the end of the match last night i reckon the squeezing effect on my feet, which doesnt feel like much when putting them on, were causing pain to go up my leg a little and on my sole making it harder to run effectively, in additon to the blisters.

So, im going to buy another pair, but i wanna do it properly. However, there are so many different styles of boot choosing th right pair apears overwelming. What i want is a good performance pair, that are comfy (like everyone else i guess). I am prepared to pay what it takes.

Any suggestions? Are there places where you can get fitted football boots like running shoes?

Thanks!

Ive always had Addias World Cups and Addias Copa Mundials. Both are the comfiest boots I have ever worn. Expensive, but really worth it. Once you find a boot that suits you, you may never go back.

You need to bear in mind that you need the right sole for the conditions. The boots you've worn already might be brilliant for January's pitches, but rubbish for right now.

You need some hard ground boots for the start and end of the season.
