Footman James, made from pure win!?

I'm in disbelief.

Very similar to mine from Peter James - except it's unlimited mileage, fully comp, full UK & European breakdown, pretty free with regards to mods, and includes business and commuting use.

£40 more expensive though - although that's probably more to do with it being on an M5 than anything else....

Doesn't use any NCB too, alas doesn't accrue any either. That's the only catch.

I'm on a 5000 mile policy with the M, still costs me £700.

Had to sign a form declaring the mileage at the start of the policy, but they did no checks to see if it was a genuine figure.

Can't see them bothering to check the mileage upon renewl this October either.

£183 seems a steal.

Footman james did me very right and allowed me to pay at least 3x less than my friends when insuring my mini at 17. Good company with good service, even if they are still settling my fault accident from almost 2 years ago because of the woman's silly claims.

Blimey. Is this for somewhere fairly isolated?

Classic car policies are generally very cheap, as they are usually based on a limited mileage and you don't gain any ncb. I've paid £282 for this years insurance on my mr2 turbo with all mods declared and 6000 miles.

WTF :/

I'm on a classic 3000 mile policy with the MX5 and it's £600

£400 of that will be to insure all the hairdressing equipment you must keep on board.

On a serious note though, where is this policy? I move around a lot and have seen my policy double with one move in the past.

I live in a village just outside Wolverhampton, not a particularly great postcode. For reference, it costs me over £800 to insure my colt on a regular policy.

how old does the car have to be to be considered for "classic insurance"

I'm guessing the 300ZX twin turbo in question isn't that old ?

They don't need to now that they have full access to the MoT database

FM have always been competitive with insurance for classic vehicles.
