Hi everybody.

I've arranged to go adventuring in the highlands with a friend soon but I am hitting a wall when trying to find some suitable footwear.
I am incredibly flat-footed, to the point where I wear Gumbies flipflops 90% of the time. I rate highly them by the way, had to give those guys a shout out.

On the rare occasions I have to wear some fully enclosed footwear I can only wear items that have the type of sole you would find on a pair of skate style trainers. Flat, solid and without that support for an arch that has not fallen.
I have been to a few camping / outdoors stores to try what they have to offer but after 5 minutes of wearing boots / trainers I start to feel the burn in the arch of my right foot.

Hopefully some of you guys could offer some advice / recommendations?

Cheers

Not sure if this helps, but my altra lone peaks are very flat. Trail running shoes, but I've done a fair amount of hiking/camping in them, and probably won't return to boots anytime soon now. Zero drop, so similar to converse etc.

Think I omly paid £60 too.

They look spot on, and from your account they might just be what I'm after.
Nice one Begbie.

Cheers

Had plantir last year, debilitating.

Went with Sketchers Arch Fit for anything I could, that and stretching on a regular basis helped loads. Not sure if they do a walking type boot though.

Clear of it now but took a good 8 months.
